The Directorate of ICT is responsible for overseeing the integration and management of information, communication, and digital technologies within the Lake Victoria Tourism Association (LVTA) to enhance communication, marketing, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee LVTA’s ICT systems, digital platforms, and online presence.
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and updating of the association’s website and digital communication channels.
- Support digital marketing and online tourism promotion initiatives for the Lake Victoria tourism circuit.
- Provide technical support during LVTA meetings, conferences, trainings, and events.
- Manage official email systems, databases, and digital records of the association.
- Promote the adoption of technology and innovation among tourism stakeholders and members.
- Support social media management, branding, and digital content creation.
- Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, and safe management of organizational information systems.
- Assist in the implementation of virtual meetings, webinars, and online stakeholder engagements.
- Coordinate ICT-related partnerships and digital transformation initiatives within the tourism sector.
- Provide ICT advisory support to the executive committee and secretariat.
- Promote the use of technology in enhancing tourism visibility, networking, and service delivery.
