Benard Wabuge – Vice Secretary General, Lake Victoria Tourism Association (LVTA)

The Vice Secretary General supports the Secretary General in coordinating the administrative and communication functions of the Lake Victoria Tourism Association (LVTA) and ensures continuity in the execution of secretarial duties and organizational operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Secretary General in managing the administrative affairs of the association.
  • Support the preparation of meeting agendas, notices, and official correspondence.
  • Assist in recording and maintaining accurate minutes, reports, and organizational records.
  • Coordinate communication between members, committees, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Follow up on the implementation of resolutions and action points from meetings.
  • Act on behalf of the Secretary General in their absence.
  • Support membership coordination, registration, and record management.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, conferences, training sessions, and tourism events.
  • Promote effective documentation, accountability, and information management within the association.
  • Work closely with the Executive Committee and Secretariat to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and representation in official functions when delegated.
  • Contribute to strengthening institutional efficiency and communication within LVTA.

The Vice Secretary General plays an important role in supporting administrative coordination, organizational communication, and effective implementation of LVTA programs and activities.
