The Secretary General is responsible for coordinating the administrative and secretarial functions of the Lake Victoria Tourism Association (LVTA) and ensuring effective communication, documentation, and implementation of organizational decisions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the administrative affairs of the association.
- Prepare meeting agendas in consultation with the Chairperson and Executive Committee.
- Organize and record minutes of meetings, conferences, and official engagements.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, correspondence, and official documents of the association.
- Ensure effective communication between the Executive Committee, members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Follow up on the implementation of resolutions and decisions made during meetings.
- Coordinate membership records, notices, and official communication to members.
- Support the planning and organization of LVTA events, programs, and activities.
- Assist in policy implementation and organizational coordination.
- Work closely with the Chairperson, CEO, and other officials to ensure smooth operations of the association.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and proper documentation within the organization.
- Represent the association in official functions and stakeholder engagements when delegated.
The Secretary General plays a key role in ensuring effective coordination, communication, and institutional efficiency within LVTA while supporting the association’s mission of promoting sustainable tourism and regional partnerships.
